The Space

This space is fully licensed by the State of Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

The house has comfortable reading nooks, plenty of space to play games or work on a puzzle, and several options for outdoor seating. Enjoy a morning coffee and watch the sunrise as the farm comes to life at the dawn of a new day. Soak in the colors of a Wisconsin sunset with a glass of wine and local cheeses while overlooking the rolling hills of Green County from the balcony. Roast marshmallows in the fire pit beneath a brilliant starlit night sky. Grill out with friends and spread out in the spacious yard area with two picnic tables and a children’s playground set. We’ll even help you find the best local products and cheese!

Sleeping arrangements for up to 12 include:

  • Master Loft: one queen bed and one twin bed (loft includes attached bathroom & shower)
  • Peacock Room: one queen bed
  • Sailing Room: one twin bed with twin trundle
  • Adventure Room: three twin beds
  • Living Room/Family Room: two couches

Bathrooms:

  • Main-level bathroom centrally located with toilet, sink, shower/tub combo, and plenty of towels
  • Master Loft Bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower

Other Amenities:

  • Excellent WIFI throughout the farm
  • Enjoy a fully stocked kitchen and dining room, complete with kitchen essentials like dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, bakeware, serving dishes, and much more. Generous grocery and restaurant options are a 10-minute drive into town. Two Monroe restaurants deliver to the farm.
  • A large living room/family room with streamable TV/entertainment center. Stream what you want to watch, or borrow a DVD from our extensive collection. HDMI cable included for streaming. In-floor tile heat and a functional fireplace of field stones collected from the farm adds the ultimate personal touch. No need to bring firewood – we’ve got plenty available at the farm!
  • The laundry room is available for guests with full washer and dryer, as Dan says: “You don’t want to take too much of the farm home with you!”

Outside there is plenty of room to run around, including hiking trails and picnic spots. Roast s’mores over an open fire underneath a starlit sky. Some of our nights are clear enough to see the Milky Way.

If outdoor barbecuing is more your thing, there is a grill plus accessories in the garage, ready to go. We’ll even make sure there is plenty of gas on hand. While you’re grilling, the kids can play with the toys in the garage, utilize the outdoor play-set, or hop on one of the bikes.

Parking:

Plenty of parking is available in front of the house for multiple cars.

Take a Tour:

Included with your stay is a complimentary farm tour with the chance to meet the cows & calves, horses, ponies, donkeys, chickens, and most importantly, toss some scraps to our resident pigs. You are welcome to ask any questions you may have about agriculture in general. The tour generally takes about one hour and typically occurs the morning after check-in, and must be scheduled. We will reach out to arrange this, and welcome you to the farm!

Horse Experiences:

Horses have defined the human experience for thousands of years! Learn one-on-one how special and unique these incredible animals are, and the rejuvenating aspects of a horse friendship. We offer horse experiences for kids, teens, and adults of all ages and riding levels with our equine component, The Brumby (be sure to ask Dan what a Brumby is!).

We begin with the basics of grooming, tacking, and exploring the fundamentals of establishing a relationship with our equine friends. Ground work builds trust and confidence between horse and rider, with the ultimate goal of taking the reins for a ride around our arena.

In addition, the property boasts more than 4 miles of trails for guided trail rides with commentary about our farm’s history, environmental conservation, and land stewardship. Advanced riders will have the chance to trot and canter. All safety gear is provided and photos are welcome! No prior riding experience necessary.

**NOTE: Horse experiences must be booked separately at an additional charge.

THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY!

Experience for yourself this integral, yet familiar slice of our local heritage.
We hope to see you soon!
